Live Bands – FOLK

I spent a couple of really cool years 2002-2003 working with bands in the DFW area. Photographing performances, experimental portraits and even got into package design for promo kits which was a really fun way to really be creative in the graphic design area. I’ve mixed the bands together below, just temporarily until I can get the albums set up. I have to say this was probably the most fun I’ve had in my career.

This archive is created from photographs taken during our years in Dallas working under the name “LightsOn! Interactive” Circa 2002-2003 Venue include Curtain Club, Club Dada, Galaxy Club, Trees and more.

These images are 22 years old and were optimized for “dial-up” connections (If you can imagine that LOL) so they are small and grainy compared to modern digital photos. But they are super cool, so I’m including them here in the archive.

I really enjoyed experimenting with different camera settings. There are the typical photos, then the “light paintings” which I really love because they show the energy and movement of the band. There are also a few quite moments backstage.
