Paradise


On these walls of memory,

I see you, then you and me,

moments captured–

in Paradise.

Your eyes stare softly back at me,

Your silent smile is telling me,

That is where you wished to be–

in Paradise.

As each moment flies away,

and the aching, longing, stays,

I’m left wanting one more day,

with you–

in Paradise.

Then, as I gaze into your eyes,

I feel your soul begin to rise,

joining now the joyous throng,

floating free on heaven’s song.

And for a moment I’m free too,

to play among the stars with you.

To fly and even race the sun!

Then float back down, a good race run.

Back down to earth, without a sound,

gently to the warm soft ground,

rejoining friends, their hearts aglow,

I land, take a breath– and know.

You, are a single thought away,

And me, I’m alive, at peace, this day,

this day–

in Paradise.

  • I'm working to "nurture creativity and strengthen multicultural and intergenerational bonds, contributing to the healing of our communities." 

    I have a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Advertising Design/Marketing from Texas Woman's University, where I learned a variety of art forms and studied the history of human creative expression. I also learned principals of marketing and advertising, which has helped me craft more impactful works.

    My 35 year creative career in digital media has given me hands-on experience with a variety tools and techniques, and a keen eye for story.

    I'm embracing my "golden years" by following my bliss and helping others do the same.
