In Korean mythology, Dangun Wanggeom is the legendary founder of Korea, born from the union of heaven and earth. His story reflects themes of unity, resilience, and national identity.

Hwanung, son of the Heavenly King, descended to earth. A bear and a tiger sought to become human; only the bear endured trials of faith and was transformed into a woman. She bore Dangun, who became the first ruler of Korea, founding Gojoseon.
