Our Moggy Hits the Road!
Vintage charm on wheels, carrying treasures that celebrate family, heritage, and imagination.
Our Moggy — lovingly nicknamed Kermit — is a 1957 Morris Minor, partially restored in a year-long journey of sweat and plenty of grime under our fingernails.
Moggy came to us from Vermont by way of an antique car dealer in Connecticut. Before long, he was shipped all the way to San Antonio, where we rolled up our sleeves and began the restoration. It turned out to be far more work than we imagined — but also far more rewarding. Every bolt tightened and piece of wood cut carried us deeper into a shared love of history, craft, and creation.
The Morris Minor has its own remarkable story, too. Designed in the late 1940s, it was built to give post-war England a practical, affordable car that any working man could own and repair himself. It became a symbol of resilience, community, and everyday ingenuity — qualities we hold close at FOLK Studio.
Now, Moggy is part of our Gift Shop family. He’ll be rolling into car meetups, craft shows, and pop-up events across Central Texas — carrying not just his vintage charm, but also our collection of handmade goods, jewelry, t-shirts, and treasures that celebrate family, heritage, and imagination.
We invite you to follow Moggy’s journey through videos and photos from his restoration — from that unforgettable “first ride” to his official introduction as a member of our studio family.
Because sometimes, the best stories aren’t just told — they’re driven. 🚗✨
